Gentlemen,

I am directed by Mr Sec Ch to acquaint you that Mr J.W. Jones, Assistant Master, Queen's College Hong Kong, has been promoted to the post of Deputy Registrar and Accountant of the Supreme Court of that Colony.

2. The salary of this post is $3600 a year rising by triennial increments of $300 to $4200 a year, and I am to request that you will pay Mr Jones his full and half salary on that basis as from the beginning of his present leave of absence,
